Mick McCarthy didn’t make the trip to the Romanian capital for the draw and it was a strange affair given that 16 playoff teams were included despite the fact that only four will actually make it to the finals.

But as it is, if Ireland does qualify they will take on Poland in Dublin on June 15th, Sweden also in Dublin on June 19th and then face Spain in the final group game on June 24th in Bilbao. The third and final group game in Dublin will see Poland meet Sweden on June 24th. To enjoy the most exciting Euro 2020 matches, grab your Spain Euro 2020 Tickets.

The meeting with Sweden will be a repeat of Ireland’s opening group stage match at Euro 2016 when Wes Hoolahan’s goal secured a 1-1 draw while the last time Ireland met Spain at a major tournament was at Euro 2012 when the Spaniards ran out 4-0 victors.

Dublin will also host one last 16 match and that could prove to be quite the affair as it will feature the winners of Group D (England, Croatia, Czech Republic, and Scotland, Israel, Norway or Serbia) against the runners-up in group F. Sports fanatics can book Sweden Euro 2020 Tickets online to enjoy its players stunning performances in Euro 2020.

And it is Group F which looks very much to be the group of death. Germany was already assigned to that group and was joined by defending champions Portugal and World Cup winners France as well as the winners of playoff Path A (Iceland/Romania/Bulgaria/Hungary).

Group phase draw will took place on Saturday in Copenhagen. Sweden will face Spain, Poland and play-off winner B.

“We played against Spain in the qualifiers and we know what mistakes we made, so I hope we can solve them. I would pay more attention to Poland. It’s a great football nation and the encounter against them would be as difficult as the match against Spain. It will be our last clash in the group phase so it can be crucial. However, I prefer to start to work instead of thinking about the draw,” Andersson was quoted.

We have 6 months to figure out how to stop Lewandowski, I don’t have wide knowledge about Poland. But I’m aware of the fact that he scores a lot of goals and he is one of the best snipers in the world, added the coach in the interview for Aftonbladet.

Early Ranking of the Favourites to win Euro 2020

Euro 2020 and summer of international football spread right across the continent is fast approaching. Most of the qualifiers are now known barring the 4 playoff winners next March. Euro 2020 fans can book England Vs Czech Republic Tickets on our website on exclusively discounted prices.

Attention is already turning to which nations will perform on the big stage. Here’s a look at last 5 qualifiers who are the early favourites with bookmakers, ranked by their chances of winning the Euro 2020 tournament next summer.

9. Croatia

Croatia reached the World Cup final just last year and qualified for Euro 2020 top of Group E, but the team that boasts Luka Modric and Ivan Rakitic are still very much outsiders ahead of next summer. Croatia benefitted from a favourable run at the World Cup and was duly dismantled when they faced a quality France side in the final.

They would need the tournament draw to be (very) kind again to match that kind of performance, with many of their ageing heroes from 2018 on the wane. Euro 2020 fans can book England Vs Croatia Tickets on our website on exclusively discounted prices.

8. Germany

Germany had a fairly disastrous 2018 and are now ranked 16th in the world a little more than a year after being number one. They had nightmare World Cup and UEFA Nations League campaigns, making expectations as low as they have been for a good while.

There is obvious quality in a squad that features new and emerging talents (such as Serge Gnabry and Timo Werner) as well as a handful of veteran stars, but probably not enough for the other top nations to genuinely fear. Euro 2020 fans can book Portugal Vs Germany Tickets on our website on exclusively discounted prices.

7. Spain

It isn’t the vintage Spain of 10 years ago, but La Roja has rediscovered their groove after mediocre tournament performances in 2016 and 2018. They have finished 2019 unbeaten and only dropped points in qualifying when their Euro 2020 place was pretty much certain.

The upheaval of coach Luis Enrique’s resignation for understandable personal reasons earlier this year had the potential to have a detrimental impact, but his return could also have a galvanising effect. Euro 2020 fans can book Spain Vs Sweden Tickets on our website on exclusively discounted prices.

6. Italy

Italy missed out on the 2018 World Cup, but are one of only two nations to have booked their place at Euro 2020 with a 100% perfect record in qualifying. There is plenty of fresh talent in the current Italian squad, especially in midfield, where 27-year-old Jorginho is a relative veteran.

As a result of their general international inexperience, this new Italy, under the stewardship of Premier League winner Roberto Mancini, remains largely untested at this level. Euro 2020 fans can book Italy Vs Wales Tickets on our website on exclusively discounted prices.

That could be viewed as either a positive or a negative depending on whether they play above themselves without fear or are too naïve to succeed just yet.

Euro 2020: Spain lie in wait for NI if they win Windsor play-off final

The draw for the Euro 2020 finals take place this evening but there is already some certainty for Northern Ireland surrounding the prize on offer for play-off success. Fans have bought their Spain Vs Sweden Tickets and hoping for their favorite players to perform well in EURO 2020 tournament.

Michael O’Neill’s side finished third in their qualifying group behind Germany and Netherlands but that was good enough to earn a play-off semi-final against Bosnia & Herzegovinia in March 26.

If they win that match, they will host either the Republic of Ireland or Slovakia in the play-off decider at Windsor Park on Tuesday, March 31 for a place at Euro 2020.

The finals will be hosted by 12 countries and, in a bid to ensure all qualifying hosts enjoy home advantage, part of the draw has been pre-determined.

As a result, Northern Ireland (or the play-off winners) know that they will be placed in Group E alongside world number eight side Spain – one of the host nations.

More than that, the winners of the League B play-off structure already has a good idea of their play-off games.

The first two fixtures will be played, against as yet unknown opposition, in Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on June 15 and June 19. That’s because the Republic of Ireland is a host nation and, as a result, their potential place has been pre-determined.

The final group stage fixture will be played against Spain in Bilbao, where the top seeds will host all three of their group games, on June 24.

The remaining details – the other two teams the play-off winners will face in the groups – will be decided in this evening’s draw, which takes place from 5pm.

Due to this prdetermined placing of the host nations, we can already narrow down the options. The second seeds in the group will be one of: France, Poland, Switzerland and Croatia.

The third seeds in the group will be either Portugal, Turkey, Austria, Sweden or the Czech Republic. Sports fanatics can book England Vs Croatia Tickets online to enjoy its players stunning performances in EURO 2020.

So based on the FIFA World Rankings, here are the dream and nightmare possibilities:

Best possible scenario: Spain, Poland, Czech Republic, Play-off winners. As well as avoiding two top 10 teams, the play-off victors would face a team currently below them in the world rankings in 45th placed Czech Republic.

Nightmare scenario: Spain, France, Portugal, Play-off winners. This would see the play-off winners pitted against the world number two side (France), number seven (Portugal) and number eight (Spain).

How many teams will progress from the group to the knockout stages?

Similar to Euro 2016, the 24 teams are split into six groups of four. The top two in each group will progress to the last 16. Those 12 teams will be joined by the top four third-placed teams from the six groups.

What else do we already know ahead of the draw?

The predetermined placings are:

Group A: Italy

Group B: Belgium, Russia, Denmark

Group C: Ukraine, Netherlands, Play-off A or D winners

Group D: England, Play-off C winners

Group E: Spain, Play-off B winners

Group F: Germany, Play-off A or D winners

Faroe 0-3 Sweden Islands: Euro 2020 qualifier player ratings

Euro Cup 2020 qualifying, group F has another comprehensive looking defeat on paper won’t tell the story of a courageous and spirited Faroese performance. Fans have bought Spain Vs Sweden Tickets and hoping for their favorite players to perform well in EURO 2020 tournament.

Euro 2020 Tickets | Faroe 0-3 Sweden Islands: Euro 2020 qualifier player ratings
Euro 2020 Tickets | Faroe 0-3 Sweden Islands: Euro 2020 qualifier player ratings

A first-half goal from Andersson and two in the second from Svanberg and Guidetti won the tie for Sweden, but the Faroe Islands caused problems throughout.

With Nordfeldt making a stunning save from Davidsen when the scores were level, and Rolantsson seeing his effort to draw the scores level go agonisingly wide when through on goal, thanks to some heroic last-ditch defending from Gagliolo.

Some sloppy defending cost the Faroe Islands for the first and third goal, with the second coming in large thanks to a rather cruel deflection. But yet again this campaign the final scoreline did not reflect an overall even contest between the two nations.

Below are player’s ratings:

Gunnar Nielsen 7 – debatable if he could have done better for the first goal, but thereafter made a few outstanding saves, and faultless for the two late goals.

Viljormur Davidsen 7 – good game for the Vejle man, always dangerous going forward and kept talented winger Sema quite throughout, so much so he was eventually substituted.

Atli Gregersen 6 – last match for the Faroese legend, and he was solid, brave and a real leader on the pitch throughout, qualities that encapsulate the great man. However, would have been disappointed in losing his man for Sweden’s third goal.

Heini Vatnsdal 6 – much better performance today from Heini, who showed why he has become the first choice center-back in this campaign. Dealt with everything that came his way solidly.

Euro 2020 Tickets | Faroe 0-3 Sweden Islands: Euro 2020 qualifier player ratings
Euro 2020 Tickets | Faroe 0-3 Sweden Islands: Euro 2020 qualifier player ratings

Brandur Hendriksson Olsen 8 – Faroe Islands MOTM, Brandur’s best performance in some time, a joy to watch on the ball today, and the Swedish midfield struggled to contain him. Unlucky not to score, being thwarted by a fine save, and also set up a glorious chance for Davidsen with a sublime run and cross.

Gilli Rólantsson Sørensen 7 – always looked dangerous going forward, and so unlucky not to score, thanks in large to some fine last-ditch defending. As probably the Faroe Islands fastest player, his pace is a vital assist going forward.

Sølvi Vatnhamar 5 – quiet match for again for Solvi, but his work-rate and tracking throughout were commendable, and he made some crucial defensive interceptions.

Klement Andrasson Olsen 5 – gave the Faroese front-line a much needed physical presence, but cut an isolated figure and struggled to get into the game, against 2 very robust defenders in Jansson and Helander.

Rógvi Baldvinsson 5 – looked far more natural back in defense rather than the midfield. Still would have been frustrated for losing his man in Sweden’s opening goal.

Jóan Símun Edmundsson 5 – it wasn’t Edmundsson’s day today, who cut a frustrated figure throughout the contest, battled hard, but with little service or impact.

Jóannes Bjartalíð 5 – as always with Jóannes, he worked hard and always willing, without little impact on proceedings today. Was substituted at half-time.

Spain will play against Sweden after ends with Romania in Euro 2020

Spain cruised to a comfortable 5-0 win at home to Romania in their final Euro 2020 qualifying game on Monday night as Villarreal striker Gerard Moreno scored twice and provoked an own goal. EURO 2020 Fans are excited to get their Spain Vs Sweden Tickets to see live performances of their favorite team and players.

Spain was already assured of their place in next summer’s finals, but the win ensures they will be top seeds in the draw for the finals and theoretically have an easier draw.

Meanwhile, Romania had nothing to play for after defeat to Sweden in their last game ended their qualification chances.

The run-up to the game had seen rumors that Spain coach Robert Moreno will not continue as a coach into the final stage with Luis Enrique returning to the post he abandoned in August to look after his sick daughter, but there was no sign the rumors affected the Spanish side.

Spain took control from the start and Jose Gaya had already seen a goal ruled out for a push and Santi Cazorla hit the crossbar before Fabian Ruiz opened the scoring.

The Napoli midfielder fired home a rebound after the Romania keeper parried Dani Carvajal’s shot. Now EURO 2020 Fans can book their Group E Euro 2020 Tickets to support their players and favorite team.

Kepa Arrizabalaga did well to save from George Puscas in the 12th minute, but Moreno netted his first of the night in the 33rd minute following a corner taken by Cazorla.

He added a second 10 minutes later when he had time to control a ball in the penalty area before beating the keeper with a calm finish and the Villarreal forward provoked a fourth of the night on the stroke of halftime when his pass was deflected into the Rumania goal by defender Adrian Rus.

Perhaps unsurprisingly the second half was a bit of a letdown as Romania sat a lot deeper to try and limit the damage, while the Spanish were happy to control the game and conserve strength.

The only goal of the second half came in injury time when Mikel Oyarzabal fired home from the edge of the area to finish another successful night for Moreno’s side in what could be his last game in charge.

Euro 2020: Luis Enrique back as boss of Spain in place of Moreno

Luis Enrique, whose daughter died from bone cancer in August, is returning as Spain manager five months after stepping down for personal reasons. EURO 2020 Fans are excited to get their Spain Vs Sweden Tickets to see live performances of their favorite team and players.

Enrique resigned in June after 11 months in the job and announced the death in August of Xana, his nine-year-old daughter.

In the meantime the 49-year-old former Barcelona boss was replaced by his assistant, Robert Moreno who was in charge for Monday’s 5-0 win over Romania but left without speaking to the media amid speculation about his departure.

Moreno, who also worked under Enrique at Roma, Celta Vigo and Barcelona, had said after taking the job he would “step aside” if Enrique ever wanted to return.

However he is understood to have felt betrayed by the federation because, although he expected the return of his one-time mentor, he had thought this would be after the Euro finals.

At a news conference on Tuesday, Spanish Football Federation president Luis Rubiales said: “Everyone knew that if Luis Enrique wanted to come back he had the doors open. Luis Enrique will continue to the Qatar World Cup [in 2022].”

Euro 2020 Tickets - Luis Enrique back as boss of Spain in place of Moreno
Euro 2020 Tickets – Luis Enrique back as boss of Spain in place of Moreno

Enrique was appointed national team boss following Spain’s exit from the 2018 World Cup in the last 16. Now EURO 2020 Fans can book their Group E Euro 2020 Tickets to support their players and favorite team.

He was in charge for the Nations League, where Spain failed to reach the semi-finals, and remained in place for the beginning of their Euro 2020 qualifying campaign.

The Spaniard travelled home for family reasons before Spain’s 2-0 victory in Malta in March and Moreno was placed in temporary charge. Enrique then stepped down three months later.

Enrique had reportedly made it clear to Rubiales that one of the conditions of his return was that Moreno would leave the national staff altogether and not revert his former role as assistant.

As winners of Play-Off B, Ireland would play Poland [June 15] and Sweden [June 19] in Dublin before a trip to face Spain in Bilbao [June 24].

Before the draw was made Ireland already knew that they would be pitted in Group E should they qualify, where they would face two matches in Dublin and one in Bilbao. Spain are top seeds in the group, with Poland second seeds and Sweden third seeds.

Spain topped Group F of the qualifiers ahead of Sweden, who they will meet again in the finals, and Norway with eight wins from 10 games, scoring 31 goals along the way while conceding just five. Poland also topped their group, finishing ahead of Austria in Group G.

If Ireland are to reach the finals, Mick McCarthy’s side need to beat Slovakia away from home in the play-off semi-final in March, and then follow that result up with another win on the road against either Northern Ireland or Bosnia-Herzegovina in the final.

McCarthy’s team play Slovakia on Thursday, 26 March, with the final penned in for five days later.

Euro 2020: Irish teams face prospect of Sweden and Poland alongside Spain

Irish teams can look forward to memories of Euros past if either makes it through the play-offs to reach next summer’s tournament. EURO 2020 Fans from all over the world can buy Spain Vs Sweden Tickets online and enjoy its stunnnig performance.

It was already known that Spain – who beat the Republic of Ireland en route to winning Euro 2012 – would be in the same group (E) as the winners of Path B, but Poland and Sweden were confirmed as the other potential opponents.

Those two countries were in the respective opening matches for Northern Ireland and the Republic at Euro 2016, with neither Irish team getting off to a winning start.

Northern Ireland played poorly in losing 1-0 to the Poles in Nice while the next day the Republic of Ireland were pegged back in a 1-1 draw against the Swedes at the Stade de France in Paris.

Poland, who pushed the Republic into a play-off for Euro 2016 following their qualifying group, will be the opening opponents – in Dublin on Monday June 15, 2020 – for whichever team makes it through play-off Path B.

Sweden will then be in action at the Aviva Stadium against that TBC team on Friday June 19.

The third round of matches in Euro 2020 Group E will be Sweden v Poland in Dublin and Spain v the play-off winners in Bilbao, which is the Spanish base for the group stages. Euro 2020 Fans from all over the world can buy Group F Euro 2020 Tickets online.

Although it could have been tougher, with France and Portugal potentially able to be drawn alongside Spain, Group E is still a daunting prospect.

Sweden’s only defeat in qualifying came away to Spain and they comfortably finished second in a group which also included Norway and Romania. The Swedes are currently 17th in the Fifa World Rankings, 12th overall in Europe.

Poland also lost just once in qualifying, in group G, away to Slovenia, but still topped that section with eight victories and a draw from their other nine matches, finishing well clear of Austria. They are rated 19th by Fifa, making them 13th overall among Uefa nations.

The winner of Group E at Euro 2020 would face one of the four best third-placed teams at Hampden Park in Glasgow on Tuesday June 30.

More likely destinations for the Irish teams, if either of them even gets to the Euros, would be another trip to Bilbao to take on the winner of Group B in the round of 16, or a journey to face the top team from Group C in Munich; both of those matches will take place on Sunday June 28.

The runners-up in Group E could potentially meet England, if Gareth Southgate’s men also finish in that position in Group B; that pairing would take place in Copenhagen, a familiar venue for the Republic of Ireland in recent years.

England will be up against 2018 World Cup finalists Croatia (who beat them in the semi-finals in Russia), the Czech Republic (who beat them in qualifying in Prague), and whichever team emerges from play-off path C – potentially Scotland, with Israel, Norway, and Serbia also in contention.

All England’s group games will be at Wembley – if they win that section their reward will be a meeting with the runners-up from Group F in Dublin on Tuesday June 30, the last match of the round of 16. That could be a massive match against World Cup-holders France, reigning European champs Portugal, or Germany – or perhaps the winner of play-off Path A, which includes Iceland, Romania, Bulgaria, and Hungary.

Wales were drawn into Group A, alongside Italy, Switzerland, and Turkey, so will play their group games in Roma and Baku.

Nothing has been simple in this whole process of the new European Championships and that continues to be the case for this evening’s draw. While all of the hosts know which group they will play in, we also already know nearly all of the makeup of Group B.

That’s because only two of the top six seeds are not hosting matches: Belgium and Ukraine. They can be drawn only into Groups B or C, where teams from lower pots are hosting games. But because of political tension, Andriy Shevchenko’s team have to be kept away from Russia.

That means they go into Group C with the Netherlands, and Belgium join Russia and Denmark in Group B. What’s more, because other groups have to be kept open for hosts in the play-offs, Group B must include either Finland or Wales – with the other joining Italy in Group A.
