Poland concludes Euro Cup 2020 qualifiers with victory

Having already qualified for the Euro 2020 tournament, Poland won against Slovenia 3:2 in their final game of the Group G qualifiers in Warsaw. Fans are excited to get their Poland Euro Cup Tickets to see live performances of their favorite team and players.

Just like in the previous match in Israel, Poles pushed their opponents to defend from the very beginning, and Sebastian Szymański bagged his first international goal in the 3rd minute.

However, in the same moment, Kamil Glik got injured in the penalty box turmoil and had to be replaced by Artur Jedrzejczyk.

Slovenia turned out to be a more skilled opponent than Israel, and Tim Matavz equalized ten minutes later. Poland was unable to create clear chances against Slovenia’s tight defense, and the game became more tied.
The match against Slovenia was the 66th and the last one in the national team for Łukasz Piszczek, one of Poland’s best right-backs in history. He was replaced by Tomasz Kędziora in the added time to the first half when the score was 1:1.
In the second half, Poland had to wait until the 54th minute to create a goal opportunity, and it was thanks to a brilliant individual display by the captain Robert Lewandowski that Poland scored their second goal.

The hosts pushed their rivals to deep defense and two minutes later, Slovenian’s goalkeeper Jan Oblak denied Piotr Zieliński’s effort in splendid style.

Yet, despite a moment of massive advantage, Slovenia equalized once again after unmarked Josip Ilicic got past Wojciech Szczesny.
In the 81st minute, a Polish counterattack emerged successful as Jacek Góralski put the ball into the net, and the hosts took the lead for the third time.

Slovenia did not finish the game in full power, as Jasmin Kurtić was sent off in the 86th minute. The result did not change and Poland won 3:2, finishing at the top of Group G with 25 points.
Another team that qualified for the next year’s European championships from Group G was Austria. In their last group game, they lost against Latvia 0:1.
The Euro 2020 draw will take place on November 30 in Bucharest. Poland is seeded in the second pot.

Euro 2020 qualifier – Poland coach responds to Oblak’s comments

Poland coach Jerzy Brzeczek has hit back at comments from Jan Oblak. Fans are excited to get their Poland Euro Cup Tickets to see live performances of their favorite team and players.

After the Slovenia goalkeeper said that in his side’s first match against Poland “he had more to do talking to journalists than on the pitch”.

Poland and Slovenia will face each other in Warsaw on Thursday in their final Euro 2020 qualifying match, where Brzeczek’s team will be looking to avenge a 2-0 defeat in the previous game in Ljubljana.

“I’ve heard that Oblak had nothing to do in that match,” said Brzeczek at Monday’s pre-game press conference.

He is a world-class goalkeeper, but there was no humility in his words. We have already qualified for Euro 2020, whereas the Slovenian players will watch the tournament on TV.

The coach added, “Our goal is to take three points. We lost the first match against Slovenia, but we were playing well for the first 35 minutes. Set pieces can always change the situation. Sometimes you have to lose to build something strong.”

On Saturday, Poland defeated Israel 2-1 in Jerusalem.

We are happy that we won that match, Brzeczek said. In the first half we played with aggression, but we should have been more clinical, as we wasted a lot of chances. If you play so well, you have to close out the match by scoring the next goals.

Having already secured top spot in Group G, a win on Tuesday could see Poland in the best possible pot for the Euro 2020 final tournament draw, though Brzeczek was at pains to point out that this would not necessarily mean an easier group.

“We don’t look through the prism of the pots,” the coach cautioned. “We were drawn from the first pot at the 2018 World Cup and were eliminated in the group stage. We shouldn’t calculate and think which result would be the best for our team.”

After nine matches, Poland has 22 points. Slovenia has 14 and can no longer qualify for the finals, with second-placed Austria five points ahead with one round of matches to play.

“I would like to send our congratulations to Poland,” said Slovenia head coach Matjaz Kek. “I have huge respect for our rivals. We have to find solutions to build a stronger team for the next challenge.”

How does play-off work?

Teams that have not automatically qualified for Euro 2020 will be selected and placed in a series of play-offs – A, B, C, and D – depending on their performance in the UEFA League of Nations (position in the group, points, goal difference, goals scored, and goals lost).

The winners of the League of Nations groups automatically qualify for the playoffs, but if they have already qualified for Euro 2020 in the European qualifying group phase, their place in the play-offs will go to the next highest placed team in their League of Nations.

If, for example, the A league is not able to send four teams to the A dam, the next highest placed team in the B league will go into the play-offs.

Group winners can’t be placed in a playoff series with teams from a higher league. If a barrier road includes at least one group winner and the number of teams in the same league is not sufficient, the remaining places will be awarded to the lower league teams.

Why is Euro Cup 2020 organized at 12 countries?

The decision to extend the Euro Cup 2020 to the whole continent instead of being confined to one or two host countries was taken by the UEFA Executive Committee in 2012 to mark the 60th anniversary of the tournament.

Gianni Infantino, explained that “instead of having a party in a country, we will have a party all over Europe in the summer of 2020”.

“Such an opportunity to give many cities and countries the opportunity to host even part of the euro is certainly an excellent thing, especially when you have an economic situation where you can’t expect countries to invest in the way such an event requires, “said Infantino.

It is unclear whether UEFA will pursue such an approach for the organization of its flagship international tournament after 2020, but Infantino suggested it would be a one-off event.

Where is the final of the Euro Cup 2020?

The Euro 2020 final will be held at the Wembley Stadium in London, the seat of the English national team, which finished fourth in the 2018 World Cup. Football lovers from around the world can buy Euro Cup Final Tickets online.

The venue, fondly nicknamed “the home of football”, will also be used for both semi-final games.

Refurbished and reopened in 2007, the new state-of-the-art facility has a capacity of 90,000 and hosted the finals of the FA Cup and League, as well as the Community Shield.

Wembley (in his former form) had already organized the European Championship final in 1996 when England hosted the tournament.

Euro Cup 2020 format

As mentioned above, Euro 2020 will bring together 24 teams as a result of UEFA’s decision to increase the number of participants starting in 2016.

The format of the final phase will be the same as that of its predecessor Euro 2016, which means that there will be six groups consisting of four teams.

As for Euro 2016, the winner and the finalist of each group, as well as the four best teams ranked third, qualify for the round of 16.

Euro Cup 2020 Qualifiers

The qualification for Euro 2020 will include a new system whereby most teams will qualify according to the traditional method of the group and four places will be awarded to the League of Nations of UEFA.

Euro cup Hosts, qualifiers and your guide for the European Championship
Euro cup Hosts, qualifiers and your guide for the European Championship

Qualifiers for Euro 2020 will take place between March and November 2019 and a total of 20 teams will progress from this stage. The remaining four places will be decided in the 2018-1919 Nations Leagues, with play-offs scheduled for March 2020.

Euro Cup 2020 qualifying groups and draw

Dublin was the scene of the draw for the Euro 2020 qualifiers, held at the Convention Center on 2 December 2018.

The 55 UEFA member countries are eligible for the competition and will be divided into 10 groups. There will be five groups of five teams and five groups of six teams, the first two teams from each group having been qualified.

What is the UEFA League of Nations?

The UEFA League of Nations is a competition of 55 UEFA members, which took place for the first time in 2018. It will consist of four different divisions (or “leagues”) and has three stages.

Euro cup Hosts, qualifiers and your guide for the European Championship

Each league will give a Euro 2020 qualifier, which will be decided during play-offs between teams that have not already qualified for the final.

The play-offs for the play-offs will be awarded to the winner of each group, but if the winner has already qualified, the qualification will go to the second-highest ranked team – which has not qualified – in that league.

Euro Cup 2020 draws

The draw for the final round will take place on November 30, 2019, once all the participating teams have been confirmed.

There were four ranking pots for the 2016 draw and, as the format of the final round remains the same, the same approach will probably be applied to the Euro 2020.

The ranking coefficient of the UEFA national teams was used to determine which teams filled each pot for the Euro 2016 draw. This will also be the case in 2020 unless there are drastic changes.

Euro 2020 – Robert Lewandowski pointed the player he loves to play against

Poland Captain Robert Lewandowski is not a real terror of the defenders from today in Euro Cup 2020. Sports enthusiasts from around the world can purchase the Poland Euro Cup Tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.

Over the past seasons, the Bayern striker has fought with many defenders from the European top, but one name has been remembered for a long time.

In the 2019/2020 season, Robert Lewandowski has already scored 16 goals in the Bundesliga, which gives him the position of leader in the Golden Shoe classification.

The Bayern Munich striker has already scored 23 hits in all competitions, including 6 in the Champions League.

Lewandowski – “The greatest fun gave me duels with Sergio Ramos”

The captain of the Polish national team is, therefore, dealing with defenders of both the German Premier League and European competitions, although it was in the Champions League that Lewandowski met a worthy opponent.

Duels with which defender Poland particularly remembered?

“I competed with many good defenders, but the most fun was the duels with Sergio Ramos. I am happy when we have the chance to meet on the pitch” – said Lewandowski.

For the first time, the 31-year-old – still as a player of Borussia Dortmund – had the opportunity to play against the defender of Real Madrid in the 2012/2013 season.

In the first meeting between these teams in the group stage of the Champions League, Lewandowski managed to enter the list of shooters.

Fate meant that a few months later the German club again faced the “Royal” – this time in the semi-finals.

It was then that Lewandowski played one of the best matches in his career, scoring four goals in a clash with the Spanish club (Borussia won the first installment of the 1/2 final 4:1).

Euro 2020 gives Adidas a boost after Kanye West shoe slip

Adidas expects sales of new football products to increase ahead of the Euro Cup 2020 after quarterly growth was held back by weaker performance of Kanye West’s Yeezy shoes. Sports enthusiasts from around the world can purchase Euro Cup Hospitality tickets online to enjoy its stunning performances.

Revenues for the third quarter rose 6 percent to 6.41 billion euros, compared to 6.32 billion euros on average, but shoe sales increased by only 1 percent compared to the launch Yeezy major last year.

This also limited the growth of e-commerce to 37%, compared to 37% in the second quarter, as many Yeezy shoes were sold online.

Adidas has decided to limit supplies of Yeezy products this year in order to maintain its exclusivity, Kasper Rorsted. Adidas shares, which rose by more than one-third in the past year, had lost only 0.9% at closing in Germany.

Adidas has wrinkled Nike’s dominance of the US market in recent years, thanks to partnerships with celebrities such as Kanye West. Nike has grown faster in China and Europe, a trend that has been maintained in recent years results.

Missed expectations

For the quarter ended August 31, Nike recorded a 10% increase in sales, whose sales were neutral in foreign currency, with a 27% increase in China, but a 4% growth in North America that did not comply with expectations.

Adidas’ sales growth slowed to 11% in China between July and September, compared with 14% in the second quarter. It accelerated in North America to 10% as the company solved its supply chain problems that had slowed growth earlier in the year.

However, the increase in air freight costs to ship products to North America and counter the difficulties encountered in meeting the demand for middle-market clothing weighed on profitability, with the quarterly operating profit remaining at 897 million euros.

Supply chain issues are expected to have minimal impact in the fourth quarter, said Rorsted. He expects a significant acceleration in the period during which Adidas will launch its first produced as part of a partnership with singer Beyonce.

The fourth quarter will benefit from product support for the European Football Championships, such as the Official Balloon Replica, as well as the Chinese New Year and the opening of a new flagship store in London, where sales have been boosted have been encouraging.

“We are very confident about how the last two months of the year will unfold,” Rorsted said.

He confirmed that he expected a net profit of 1.88 to 1.95 billion euros from continuing operations in 2019. He now forecasts growth in foreign currency sales of around 6.5%, the midpoint of the expected range of 5 to 8%.
